All the covers on this page are original masterpieces (in our opinion) by Jack Lonshein, who was commissioned by Mainstream to do a whole series of covers ranging from new to re-issues. THE TOWN HALL CONCERT consists of two volumes. Vol. 1 & Vol 2. are $15.00 each but are only being sold in a set (you must buy both for a total price of $30.00 plus postage). As you can see from the album covers, the line-up of musicians is varied. Of particular interest to collectors is the fact that these issues are all from the original Commodore Jazz Classics. Krupa, Ventura and George Walthers are heard in one group, Flip, Teddy Wilson and Slam Stewarst in another, Stuff Smith with Billy Taylor. The big band tracks include Shorty Rogers and Eddie Bert. Don Byas and Slam Stewart are also together. Classic stuff. Condition is NM-.
